Other than having more power and a higher towing capacity of 4000 pounds, the V6 engine also has an active fuel management system. The system improves the fuel economy of the SUV by cutting fuel to only two cylinders of the six when it is carrying or towing a light load.
Interior and Exterior
The interior of the car can hold up to seven occupants. There are three rows of seating; two front seats, two second-row seats, and three third-row seats. The two middle seats prevent third-row occupants from squeezing their way into the seats. Each seat, including the third-row seats, allows you to stretch your legs to their full length and have enough head and shoulder room. Second and third-row seats have a split-fold ratio of 50/50 and 60/40, respectively, to create more room for cargo. By folding the seats on the two rows, you increase cargo volume from 12.8 cubic feet to 79 cubic feet.
The exterior of the GMC Acadia is more modern and urban compared to other SUVs. The exterior comprises muscular-looking wheel arches, bold colors, and chrome fascia and grille treatments. The wheels are 20 inches for you to conquer the off-road.
Technology and Safety
GMC updated the infotainment system of the current year GMC Acadia. The head-up display at the dashboard has a touchscreen of 7 inches in base models and 8 inches in higher models like the SLT and SLE. The 2020 model also comes with a rear-vision digital camera, wireless charging pads with more power, and LED lighting for the front passengers.
Other technological features include 4G LTE Wi-Fi hotspot, keyless start and open, USB ports for charging, and smartphone connectivity. Higher models have more features like a Bose audio, navigation, and SiriusXM satellite radio.
Safety features include a rear-seat safety-alert reminder system, lane-change alert, forward collision alert, rear cross-traffic alert, emergency brakes with low speed, and rear park assist.
